Commission Vacancy

The Port of Poulsbo (“Port District”) Commissioners have issued this formal Notice of Vacancy for filling the District 12 position on the Port District Board of Commissioners.

This Notice of Vacancy provides 15 days’ notice of the following nominee by the Commission for the Port District Board of Commissioners: James Dingels

This Notice also commences an open period for registered voters who reside within the boundaries of the Port District to nominate additional persons for consideration for the vacant position. Residents can submit names for additional nominations by emailing the Port Manager at james.weaver@portofpoulsbo.com.

Deadline: Nominations will be accepted until

4:00 p.m. on February 20, 2026

Nominees should submit an application by the deadline. After the notice period, the Commissioners may appoint a nominee to the position or schedule interviews from a selection of the nominees to fill the vacancy. The person appointed will serve until a qualified person is elected at the next general municipal election in November 2026.

The candidate for the position must be a registered voter living within the Port Commissioner District No. 12. The position of Port District Commissioner pays a salary of $360 per month, plus a per diem of $161 per day for meetings attended on behalf of the Port District pursuant to RCW 53.12.260.
